Scholarships are available for Elk Grove Unified School District seniors planning on going to a technical school, community college, or four-year public or private university. Each scholarship has different criteria. The list of scholarships and application are available on www.ElkGroveRSF.org.

Sacramento Chapter of the Links, Inc. Scholarship Program

January 25, 2019

Awarded over $80,000

The scholarship is for African American high school seniors and other persons of African ancestry who exemplify academic excellence and exhibit leadership in the Sacramento Region. To apply for scholarships visit the website at http://sacramentolinksinc.org.

Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship

Awarded $1,000

You must be a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. You must also be a U.S. citizen or legal resident. Golden 1 Scholarship

January 31, 2019

Awarded up to $1,000-$5,000 annually

In order to be eligible a student must hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher; be involved in community service and extracurricular activities totaling at least 24 hours in the last 12 months; be a Golden 1 member for at least one year, or be a dependent of someone who has been a member for at least one year. National InspirASIAN scholarship

Awarded from $1,000-2,000

The scholarship program is open to all high school seniors of any ethnic or cultural background with a minimum GPA of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale. More information and to apply for this scholarship can be located online at https://inspirasian.us/scholarships.

Schwab Rosenhouse Memorial Scholarship

Simon Youth Community Scholarship

Siemens 2018-2019 STEM Scholarship

Awarded (5) $1000

This scholarship is offered to 5 Florin High seniors only who are planning on pursuing a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math. Graduating this academic school year. Earning a minimum 2.5 GPA. Planning on attending a 4-year college/university, 2-year community college, or a technical/trade school in the fall. Must complete application and submit an essay. SMUD Powering Futures Scholarship

County of Sacramento Scholarship Program

March 1, 2019

Awarded amount varies

To be eligible for these scholarships. Students must be currently living in Sacramento County. Graduating high school senior from the call of 2019 entering a two-or-four-year accredited college, university, or technical/trade school. Have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Must be on public assistance or low income. Applications are available in the Career Center or online at http://www.dha.saccounty.net.

Sons of Italy Western Foundation Scholarships

March 1, 2019

Awarded range from $500 to $5,000

Scholarships are available in the following categories: Academic Awards for high school seniors; Italian Language Study Grants in Italy for high school seniors for the summer of 2019; Athletic Award for high school seniors pursuing a career in sports or a sport related field. California Association of Winegrape Growers Foundation Scholarship

March 8, 2019

Awarded range from $2,000 to $8,000

To qualify for the scholarships, students must be graduating from high school and plan to attend a University of California, California State University or California community college in the fall of 2019. Have a parent or legal guardian who is/was an employee of a Winegrape grower during the 2018 or 2019 season; complete the application from; and others which can be found online at www.cawgfoundation.org.

SAFE Credit Union 2019 Scholarship

Awarded $1,000

Scholarships will be awarded to exceptional college-bound seniors from high schools across the Greater Sacramento region. Qualified applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Applications are available online at safecu.org.

Cherry Blossom Scholarship

March 15, 2019

Awarded $2,500

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Japanese American descent at an accredited high school with a grade point average minimum of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. Applicant should be actively involved in her or his local community. Applications available in the Career Center.

County of Sacramento African American Caucus Scholarship

March 29, 2019

Awarded $1,000

Eligible applicants must be a Sacramento County resident; a 2019 graduating high school senior; entering a two or four year accredited college/university/technical/or trade school; and must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Applications are available in the Career Center.

2019 Morton Golf Foundation Scholarship

April 1, 2019

Awarded range from $1,000 to $3,000

To be eligible for this scholarship you must have completed junior year of high school & rank in the upper part of his/her class scholastically. Applicants must have a 3.0 or better GPA. Must enroll at a college or university of his/her choice. Community colleges are eligible. Must have outstanding personal character, sportsmanship, & leadership qualities. Must have participated in NCGA, The First Tee of Greater Sacramento or high school golf program for at least one event, program or membership year or worked at a golf facility. High School must be within 50 miles of Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. The application is available at www.mortongolffoundation.org

The North Central District (NCD) of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS)

April 1, 2019

Awarded $500

Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing career studies in related Family and Consumer Science field (Consumer Science, Early Child Development (not primary school education), Food Science, Dietetics and Nutrition, Family and Consumer Science Education, Food Service and Hospitality, Fashion Design, Interior Design and Furnishings) at an accredited Community College, Technical, Vocational Institution or State College or University. Student must fill out the scholarship application, write a brief statement about themselves and submit two letters of recommendations as well as a copy of their school transcript. All scholarship information and the application are posted on the CA-AFCS website at www.aafcs.ca.org.

Sacramento Area Fire Fighters, Local 522 Scholarship
